I had opportunity to see by Internet the presentation about  “Experience of SERTOX in spider envenenomation”  (Juan Carlos Piola) in Peru,  in July 2007. I observed with approval that included an appointment ours (Blak widow spider envenomation in children), Rev Mex Pediatr 2005; 72 (1): 31-35) I am thankful for this. In this occasion, I allow myself to send you the experience  in our Infantile Hospital of the State of Sonora, with the desire that it will be useful to you: “Lactrodectus Mactans spider envenomation in children - Blak widow.Clinical characteristic and treatment. We congratulated to the network of centers of attention to the drug addictions of Lanzarote, which has been awarded with the prestigious “Prize” Queen Sofía to the Social Work  that grants the Foundation of attention to the drug addictions of the Red Cross Spain (CREFAT), constituting one of the most important distinctions at national level in the action as opposed to the problematic one derived from the drug consumption. In 1998, to Flavio Rein the doctor prescribed Lipobay to him, a medicine to lower the cholesterol with statin. In the United States, the prospect indicated serious adverse effects, that in the local scope they were not mentioned. A month later, Rein was with serious adverse effects. [See in Spanish]
